The easiest way to add interest to a room is with a statement chair; they are versatile and will spice up any space.

For a smaller room, a sofa and a pair of smaller antique chairs pulled together on an area rug will suit the room. For larger spaces, like a formal lounge, you may want to consider larger pieces, like a pair of sectional sofas flanked with a few armchairs in complementary styles. For those corners that need attention, place a wide lounge chair or occasional chair and voila!  And never underestimate a gilded chair’s ability to add status and drama.
